The Reasons I focus on Iran

Hello, bloggers or viewers.  I know that I might not have anyone who reads this blog.  However, when I look into my audiences I do see that some people do read it.

I want to tell you why I focus on Iran. The reason I am so into the country is because they are a fascinating country. Many Americans do not care about the country much less Americans just do not care about the world.  Unless, there is a popular movement going on and that is the only time you see Americans caring about the outside world.  Furthermore, the majority of the people are not conservative like the government.  The majority are moderates and they support having more freedoms of individuals like the ability to let their voices be heard without fearing arrest or being disappeared by the government.

Also majority of these people try to access western concepts, ideas, materials, and all sorts of stuff.  The government is opposed because they believe it will dilute the culture, the religion, and the power of the government.  I can see his point, but it does not mean that it is right. Ayatollah Khamenei fears globalization affecting Iran and causing the people to divert from Islam.  However, they are eventually going to have to learn to accept modernization while keeping their old ways.

Lastly, I believe that I am the voice of the people for the Iranians.  I want to educate Americans that not all Iranians are conservative and they are a very interesting group  of people with amazing morals and culture values.

Iranians yearn to be heard by the government and the world.  They want more freedoms that are denied to them by the government.

If America Attacks Syria, Iran will Attack Israel

Hello how are you all?  If I have any readers, we have a new story on Iran.  Once again lovely Iran is trying to invoke war with Israel.  Is that really a shock?  I guess they are trying to find any reason to get some Israeli blood.  President Hassan Rouhani and Ayatollah Khamenei are making threats to issue a retaliatory attack on Israel if the U.S. or European countries go into Syria.  However, I do not think that is going to have an influence on President Obama because we all know that Israel can fend for itself.  They got the military might and tools to sustain itself in war.

Iran is just looking for a reason to fight Israel.  Technically, they have been fighting with Israel through proxy war because they supply and train Hezbollah.  Whenever they attack, it could be seen as an act of war.

Anyways, on my other blog I posted about how we should not get involved and I still stand on that issue.  Here is the link to the other post, http://olivesthoughtsandideas.blogspot.com/2013/08/no-military-invasion-of-syria.html  Yes, it was wrong for Syria to use poisonous gas on its people, killing hundreds of civilians.  However, the U.S. should not act unilaterally because we do not want another Iraq War.  On the other hand, U.N. should begin deciding on what they want to do because the war is spilling into other countries.  For example, refugee situations and the occasional rocket on the Turkish border.  China and Russia need to see that it is wrong what the Al-Saad government is using against the people.

Furthermore, Iran knows exactly what gas is like because it was done to them during the Iraq-Iran war by Saddam Hussein.  They claim that President Al-Saad did not use gas, but there seems to be evidence they he did use gas.  How else do you kill hundreds of people on land at one time.  If there is evidence denoting that it is true then they need to work to get Al-Saad under control.

If Iran does not work with the U.S. and European Powers to get President Al-Saad removed or under control then Syria might have foreign troops enter.  However, U.S. has to be reminded that some of these rebels are not the most humane individuals and I will post the photo again of rebel eating soldiers heart.  On the other hand, I guess it comes down to who is the lesser of two evils like the Iraq-Iran war.

Director of Human Rights in Iran says Law needs Reform

Hello, I know it has been awhile and school has been keeping me busy of late.

However, I have decided to blog about Human Rights in Iran today.  I have tried to post the link, but I believe I have forces working against me because I got the article from Tehran Times.  You can look it up there if you do not believe me.

Director Ahmed Shaheed spoke with a UN reporter and claimed that law, in regards to Human Rights, needs to be reform and that many people do not agree with him at all in Parliament.  I believe that is true because the people who are in office are very conservative especially when it comes to Islam and committing sins.

Ahmed Shaheed believes that the law needs to be reform in regards to drug trafficking and if you commit that crime you get sentenced to death and 74% of the executions occur over that.  He believes that it is not a serious crime for death and that is true.

However, he does not deny torture being used in prisons nor does it seem that he is going to change the use of torture.  He claims that it is a crime to use torture in the jails yet I do not see any arrests happening.  If it is truly un-Islamic to use torture then they are violating the Qur'an themselves.

Lastly, they claim that the internet is free and that Iranians can use the internet freely.  However, if you look on the Green Voice of Freedom you will see bloggers and other people using media getting arrested for voicing concerns about the regime in power.  They are not allowed to speak out against their government especially in regards to the injustices in the country.  Director Shaheed says they should have the right to speak out, but we all know that is going to be a longtime before that occurs.  On the other hand , he says the internet is censored to protect Islamic Culture so that they do not see anything or do anything that will force them to commit sin. I guess it is a sin to voice opposition to the government in charge.
